Week 11 ( 2nd semester)

Our week 11 was on 2nd April from 8:30 to 11:30 AM. In this week we don’t have any special lesson for our ICT class but our lecturer gave us a Individual assignment that is base on Microsoft access. This assignment is about 5%. We have to finish in class our, first of all that was little bit difficult for me because I don’t have any idea about Microsoft access. But our lecturer Mr. Azzamuddin helped us a lot. And that’s why am so thankful to him. And this Microsoft access is all about data base. So now I want to share my knowledge about Microsoft access.

Microsoft Office Access, previously known as Microsoft Access, is a database management system from Microsoft that combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface and software-development tools. It is a member of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, included in the Professional and higher editions or sold separately. On May 12 2010, the current version of Microsoft Access 2010 was released by Microsoft in Office 2010; Microsoft Office Access 2007 was the prior version.
MS Access stores data in its own format based on the Access Jet Database Engine. It can also import or link directly to data stored in other applications and databases.
Software developers and data architects can use Microsoft Access to develop application software, and "power users" can use it to build software applications. Like other Office applications, Access is supported by Visual Basic for Applications, an object-oriented programming language that can reference a variety of objects including DAO (Data Access Objects), ActiveX Data Objects, and many other ActiveX components. Visual objects used in forms and reports expose their methods and properties in the VBA programming environment, and VBA code modules may declare and call Windows operating-system functions.

Week 10 ( 2nd semister)

Week 10 was on Monday 26th March. The class was from 8:30 to 11:30 AM. This week our lecturer Mr. Azzamuddin gave us the instruction sheet for our second group project. The project is about making a website. As I mention before that last week me and my group already made the website for our group and design so it’s quite easy for us to continue the  Group project work. And then our lecturer Mr Azzamuddin he gave us a lecture about WWW and also about internet
Now I would like to share my knowledge that I learned from that class.
WWW: A system of Internet servers that support specially formatted documents. The documents are formatted in a markup language called HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) that supports links to other documents, as well as graphics, audio, and video files. This means you can jump from one document to another simply by clicking on hot spots. Not all Internet servers are part of the World Wide Web.
There are several applications called Web browsers that make it easy to access the World Wide Web; Two of the most popular being Firefox and Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

The Internet is a massive network of networks, a networking infrastructure. It connects millions of computers together globally, forming a network in which any computer can communicate with any other computer as long as they are both connected to the Internet. Information that travels over the Internet does so via a variety of languages known as p Many people use the terms Internet and World Wide Web (aka. the Web) interchangeably, but in fact the two terms are not synonymous. The Internet and the Web are two separate but related things.rotocols.
Thank you very Much !!!!!!!!!!!!

Week 9 (2nd semester)

Week 9 was on 19th march 2012.The class was from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. On that day our lecture held on the library lab in 3rd floor. Our lecture Mr Azzamuddin Explained us about IS methodology and also about internet. He also gave us information and instruction for our next group project. we have to make a website for our groups. Each of the group have to do the same thing. Then me and my group mate sarwaan, naima and myat started our work for this 2nd group project. Firstly we opened the Google site to make our own group web-site. And we were successful to open our own website. Then we design our own website and also choose a Club  for the topic that we are going to write in our website. The club is from our university that we are going to write all information about that club in our group website. Our topic was Peer-buddies club.
From this lecture and class I mainly learned about internet and how to make website. The class was really interesting for me because I got the chance to learned different things, Like how to make a web-site. Again thanks to Mr Azzamuddibn for this new knowledge.

Week 8

Now I am in week 8.Week 8 class was on Monday 12th March 2012. The class was from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. The course becomes a little bit confusing and it reaches to a difficult part. We already finished learning about the easy part of ICT.We went to library to write n search about IS Methodology. And we also have to make three persons group to write the summery and the knowledge that we learn from this topic. I had my own group. Myat and naima were in my group. Now I would like to share my knowledge that I learned from that class.
IS Development Methodologies contain models and reflect particular perspectives of ‘reality’ based on a set of philosophical paradigms. A methodology should tell you ‘what’ steps to take and ‘how’ to perform those steps but most importantly the reasons ‘why’ those steps should be taken, in that particular order.
There are many different methodologies used in systems development
A methodology is a collection of:
·       Procedures
·       Tools
·       Documentation aids
Methodologies offer a series of phases and steps through which a project must proceed and a series of tools and techniques to assist in analysis and design. They are particu- larly appropriate for detailed design of software, databases and hardware configurations.

Week 6

Week six was on 20th February 2012. From 8:30 to 10:00 AM. In this class we continue our study about information Technology. Now, let's move onto the topic about ICT in government.
ICT in government:ICT and Technology is a basic infrastructure necessary for economic and social development of a country.
This is even becoming stronger than ever as information related economic activities are growing.
Information and communications technology may be described as the support of the central nervous system of complex societies, transmitting and processing information and commands among the various parts of such societies.
The next one is ICT in communication. The Internet is used as public network for information and communication to the public and especially to potential customers.
Internet technology is used for an Extranet. This is a private network for the business communication with customers and suppliers. An Extranet is realised as a communication server within the company, which is accessible through the Internet for authorised users. The communication server offers the user access to information systems and employees within the company.Mainly in this week we learned the usage of ICT in different sector.
In this week we also learned about IS that means information system.
Information System:An information system and MIS (IS) - or application landscape- is any combination of information technology and people's activities that support operations, management and decision making. In a very broad sense, the term information system is frequently used to refer to the interaction between people, processes, data and technology. In this sense, the term is used to refer not only to the information and communication technology (ICT) that an organization uses, but also to the way in which people interact with this technology in support of business processes.

This all about that I learned from that day class.Thank you very much to our lecturer for his good explanation about all the topic.

Week 5

Week five was on Monday 13th February 2012. The class was from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. We skipped our week 4 sessions because we had a holiday on that week monday. Last week, I already mentioned about data, information, knowledge and problems regarding to information management system and so on. So, I got a little bit knowledge background about Information Technology. That's why, today, this week I Fill up my knowledge of ICT by learning about what is Information technology and it uses? I had a better knowledge about this topic because on that day in the class we had presentation about It Architecture and It infrastructure are interrelated.Me and my group mate also presented about this topic.
Now I would like to share my knowledge about IT that means Information Technology.
Information technology: Information Technology, or IT, is the study, design, creation, utilization, support, and management of computer-based information systems, especially software applications and computer hardware.
]There are two types of Information technology:

1.   Information technology architecture:Information Technology Architecture is the process of development of methodical information technology specifications, models and guidelines, using a variety of Information Technology notations, for example UML, within a coherent Information Technology architecture framework, following formal and informal Information Technology solution, enterprise, and infrastructure architecture processes. These processes have been developed in the past few decades in response to the requirement for a coherent, consistent approach to delivery of information technology capabilities. They have been developed by information technology product vendors and independent consultancies, based on real experiences in the information technology marketplace and collaboration amongst industry stakeholders, for example the Open Group. Best practice Information Technology architecture encourages the use of open technology standards and global technology interoperability.

1.   Information technology infrastructure: Information technology infrastructure is the integrated framework upon which digital networks operate. This infrastructure includes data centers, computers computer networks, Database Management devices, and a regulatory system.
2. information technology and on the Internet, infrastructure is the physical hardware used to interconnect computers and users. Infrastructure includes the transmission media, including telephone lines, cable television lines, and satellites and antennas, and also the router
3.  In some usages, infrastructure refers to interconnecting hardware and software and not to computers and other devices that are interconnected. However, to some information technology users, infrastructure is viewed as everything that supports the flow and processing of information. The global, Web-based platform that has recently emerged spans the world and is best represented by the Internet functionality. The platform enables individuals to connect, compute and communicate. We are in a convergence of three powerful, technological forces:
(1) Cheap and ubiquitous computing devices (2) Low-cost, high bandwidth (3) Open standards.

we have computing everywhere and anywhere, anytime and all the time, with access to limitless amounts of information, services, and entertainment.
Next topic is about  IT & ICT. This is very interesting topic and the main topic for this semester. The exact meaning of Information and communications technology (ICT) is concerned with the use of technology in managing and processing information. It is used to store a large amount of information along with rapid distribution of information through communication network. ICT management is a part of ICT, mainly included in important role. There are 3 types of management under ICT management known as ICT resource management, ICT service management and ICT Governance. They have their own responsibilities and roles to perform the different tasks. Nowadays, ICT is widely used in our daily life such as in the field of education, banking, healthcare, business and many others society.
